For Administrative Professionals day, many agencies organize the traditional luncheon or email acknowledgement of the day. That's nice. Here at the Housing Authority of Baltimore City, celebrations and employee recognition are customized events.
This year, HABC's Human Resources Department invited all 75 Administrative Assistants to "Create and Collaborate" in honor of the day! Everyone gathered at the Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center on April 25th. The group of professionals engaged with each other through conversation and a planned activity. To encourage participation from the honored guests, DIY DZIGNS provided canvases, paint pallets and artist lead instruction. A fun time was had by all!
Commemorations of this event have been going on for more than a decade. Last year the event was held at the Cine Bistro, where the Administrative Professionals enjoyed a catered lunch and movie.
