For many families in our HABC developments, Back to School shopping can really empty your wallet!  As Baltimore City students get set to head back to class, the Office of Resident Services (ORS) plans to give away 250 backpacks and school supplies to our young residents!

The event will take place on August 17th between 12pm and 3pm at the Gilmor Community Center located at 1515 Vincent Court.

Uproar, an Owings Mills church is offering more than 200 bookbags and supplies to help families stick to their budget! 

Uproar has provided school supplies to HABC ‘s Gilmor homes for more than half a decade.  Constance Buckley, Director of the Jobs Plus Program said, “This has been a sustainable partnership for at least 7 years. We are thankful for the support from their to community to ours.”  Additionally, Uproar spreads goodwill by delivering food baskets at Thanksgiving and toys for children during the gift giving season! 

The Back to School event is for Gilmor Residents. On the day of the event activities include, manicure services for little girls, grilled burgers and hotdogs and a moon bounce.  Resources for Residents include:   Potential Me, Voter Registration and Housing Resources.
